A note from our founder

The most meaningful things often begin with a simple act of care. For me, it began with my mother and my sister.

In 2015, I started creating skincare because I wanted to help two people I loved find products that truly worked for their skin. I wasn't thinking about building a brand. I was thinking about care: understanding what their skin needed and creating something I could trust enough to give to them.

That simple beginning changed the course of my life.

I became deeply curious about the science of skincare: why certain ingredients work, why others can irritate, and why effective skincare so often seemed unnecessarily complicated. I immersed myself in formulation and began creating products that were simple, purposeful, and made with ingredients I genuinely trusted.

Every formulation was guided by one belief: give the skin what it needs, and leave out what it doesn't.

That journey led me to establish Nirvana Botanique, where I worked closely with businesses to develop skincare products. Years of hands-on formulation experience deepened my understanding of ingredients, efficacy, and what truly makes a product work.

In 2025, I founded ikvanya to bring that same philosophy directly to you.

I believe skincare should feel intuitive, not overwhelming. Our skin is our body's largest organ, and what we apply to it matters. Every ikvanya product is created with transparency, carefully selected ingredients, and a clear purpose.

No unnecessary complexity. No seven-step or ten-step routines. Just thoughtful, high-quality skincare designed to fit naturally into everyday life.

Amit Saxena RPH, PhD, BCCPS

Scientific & Formulation Advisor

Amit Saxena is a board-certified clinical pharmacist practicing in the United States, with a career spanning pharmaceutical science, formulation, research, and clinical practice. He completed his Master's at AIIMS, New Delhi, earned his PhD in Berlin, and pursued postdoctoral research at Harvard and in Sweden.

Early in his career, Amit worked hands-on with formulation, creating moisturizers, lotions, and soaps in their most fundamental chemical forms. That experience gave him an understanding of skincare at its most basic level: the ingredients, their interactions, and the science behind what ultimately touches the skin.

His clinical work has further shaped his perspective on purity, cleanliness, and safety. Amit believes skincare should not simply chase faster results, particularly when those results may come with unnecessary side effects or long-term harm. What matters is whether a product genuinely benefits and supports the skin.

What drew Amit to this initiative is the philosophy behind it. To him, this is about more than selling skincare. It is about being thoughtful about what goes into every product, earning trust, and creating something rooted in care and a genuine commitment to the greater good.
